Aspire Nautilus Design
Let’s start with the overall design. The Aspire Nautilus, is beautifully designed and crafted out of Pyrex glass and stainless steel. It is a full 22mm diameter which means it sits flush Aspire Nautilus BDC with most mechanical and smart mods (the kit includes a collar for Ego style batteries which fits very nicely). It’s large size allows it to hold 5ml of liquid easily. There are bright measurement markings on the Pyrex tank making it easy to see how much liquid you have in it. As with other Aspire tanks, the Nautilus comes apart into 4 pieces for easy maintenance and cleaning. The top cap and breather neck portion are one piece. This whole piece threads into both the glass tank and the coil head inside, holding it all together tightly. Where the glass meets the bottom cap there is a rubber piece that goes around the entire diameter ensuring the liquid won’t leak. The bottom cap is also interesting in that the coil head is secured completely inside and does not make direct contact with the battery. Instead it makes contact with a spring inside the bottom cap which makes contact with the battery via a floating pin. What this means is a very smooth and solid connection every time while also not allowing any leaking of liquid through the bottom of the tank. It’s truly an ingenious design. The last and most useful design feature is the side breathing location with adjustable airflow. There is a ring around the bottom cap that you can spin to choose one of four different sized air holes ranging from 0.9mm to 1.8mm. This will be discussed more in the next section.
The Nautilus atomizers are not interchangeable with previous Aspire atomizers. Also it took one or two tank fills before fully breaking in and producing the best flavor.
Air Intake Hole
The Nautilus’s main selling point is of course the adjustable air flow system. A small band on the lower hardware rotates to expose one of four air intake holes. They are, 0.9, 1.1, 1.4, and 1.8 mm in diameter. The ring nicely clicks into place at each hole. Although each setting makes a significant difference is the airiness, vapor production, and pull resistance of each puff, it also has other affects. The smaller the diameter, the warmer the vapor is, and also the greater the vacuum created inside the tank, which affects the pull of juice onto the coils. Using a smaller intake hole can be useful with a very thick e-Liquid to make sure the wicking action keeps up with chain vaping.
Over all I find this to be an excellent clearo. Being able to adjust the intake airflow to suite various e-Juices is fantastic. On a 50/50 or 70/30 PG/VG mixture I find I’m mostly using the 1.1 & 1.4 mm holes. In three days of use I’ve experienced no leaking or gurgling, or any problems at all. If you want to try adjustable air flow, want a tank that holds a lot of e-liquid for an all day enjoyment, or just want to try something new, then I highly recommend the Aspire Nautilus.
Performance
aspire nautilus performance Now on to the performance. The usability and maintenance of the Aspire Nautilus is essentially no different than any other Aspire BDC tanks. Now it’s worth mentioning that the coil heads for the Nautilus are different from other BDC systems. The Nautilus can only use coil heads made for it due to the threads located on the top of them to allow the top cap to be screwed on to it. The Nautilus coils also differ in that there are 4 holes in them to allow plenty of liquid to get onto the wick inside. This design allows for an easy inhale with a lot of vapor production and great flavor profiles. Couple that with the adjustable airflow and you have a truly enjoyable vaping
experience. The first hole is pretty small and pretty restrictive. The second hole is about the same breathing resistance of a cartomizer, while the third hole was significantly less restrictive. The fourth hole (the largest) breathes so well it’s possible to take lung hits with no problem (a lung hit is inhaling the vapor directly into the lungs, similar to smoking a hookah).
The Aspire Nautilus Glassomizer is a great system with lots of features and adjustability. That’s not to say it’s perfect. It has a tendency to flood like other Aspire BDC systems, but it’s just as easy to fix. One of the best ways is to remove the bottom cap from the glass tank, exposing the coil head. Then just take a small piece of tissue and dip it down the coil head onto the wick to soak up excess liquid. Put it back together and you’re ready to go. It’s easy to clean and maintain and puts out a lot of flavor. Overall the design and performance of the Nautilus is very good. Is it the last tank you’ll every buy? That’s for you to decide, but it wouldn’t be a stretch to say it just might be.

回复删除With Electronic Cigarettes, nothing associated with the particular 4,000 deadly chemicals found in classic smoking cigarettes are produced because you don't have smoke... not a single thing actually burning. No smoke means no tar, carbon dioxide monoxide, etc.
